Life changes and can get in the way of the things we enjoy… but I finally felt like writing again. I’ll be completing my current in-progress stories (though I’m not committing to any sort of update schedule or anything) and may throw in a one-shot or two in between. I won’t be starting any new, big stories.
In any case, it felt right to get back into the swing of things with Cap. He has been and always will be my favorite Avenger – my favorite Marvel character ever, really. I’ve had the first bit written since maybe chapter 5 or so of Alight, but was intimidated to post it since I love the character so much. Finally finished the last two parts, though, and it seemed silly to sit on it any longer.
Anyway, hope you enjoy.
Summary: “Sometimes life has a way of pulling you to the right path, even if you don’t realize that’s what’s happening at the time…” Steve stumbles across someone who makes sense of the chaos his life has become and gives him new hope. Bella/Captain America. Complete in four parts.
Captain America timeline: Set after Steve awakens from the ice, but before (and then during) the first Avengers movie.
Twilight timeline: New Moon A/U, set a few years later. Bella knows about Victoria, but not the wolves. She never goes to Volterra and Edward never comes back.
I know – last thing this author needs is a new fic, lol, but when I sat down to finish the next chapter of Set My Soul Alight all I could think about is a scene for an entirely different fandom. I decided to quickly write out the scene so I could get it out of my system… but that one scene turned into a chapter. Then it became a story idea that had been in the back of my head for sometime, though I’d no plans to start anytime soon. What I thought would be 1 or 2 pages turned into 10. So here you have a chapter of a new story… Be forewarned that it will not be my main focus. I will write it as the ideas come and trust me – I have soooo many ideas and plans for this story! But Alight is about 7-8 chapters away from being completed so that’s the fic I will be focusing on.
I know infrequent/sporadic updates can be very frustrating (and I know that I’m terribly guilty of this) but keep in mind that I’m a mother of two young ones that I’m always chasing after. I have a life and a family outside of this very fun and fulfilling hobby. I also have my own home business, and thankfully, business is booming. I won’t guarantee when updates will be coming for any of my stories but rest assured I will never abandon them. Sometimes I’ll post frequent, rapid chapters in succession. Others may take a month or two before they come. I will do my best to allocate time for writing but please understand it won’t be my first priority. Sadly, there’s this thing called ‘being an adult’ and though it’s tiresome, it is terribly rewarding as well.
So with that disclaimer out of the way – I hope you all will enjoy the first chapter of Devil May Care, a Twilight/Supernatural crossover featuring some eventual Bella/Sam lovin’. Summary is below along with a banner that will take you to chapter 1.
I hope you all enjoy the story – please do let me know what you thing.
As ever, my darlings, happy reading from yours truly,
Summary: When Bobby is delivered some bad news he drops everything in order to save his niece, Bella Swan. Together with Sam and Dean, they learn that though they’d tried to shield her from the supernatural it seems she’s been surrounded by it her whole life – even more than she knows. Bella/Sam.
Takes place season 5 of Supernatural and 3 years after New Moon. New Moon AU, the Cullens never came back.
Oh boy – so much to share with you all and it’s late, so I’ll try to be brief (though I make no promises!)…
First up – I have a new one-shot up for your reading pleasure! I actually started it waaaaay back by my Halloween contest but life happened and it got pushed aside. I’ve teased the banner on my facebook page a couple times and now I’m just tickled that it’s done! I present to you all my first Twilight/Deadpool crossover! Click the banner below for the summary and to start reading 🙂
But wait! There’s more!
Speaking of writing contests… I’ve decided to host another! I confess it’s a little self-serving since I just want to gobble up and read all your stories, but it’s been a few months and I’ve decided it was time to try it out again!
So… in keeping with the theme of the above one-shot, I present to you all: Bertie Bott’s Every Flavor Superhero Fest
The contest page and rules are already up if you want to get started (just click the pic above), but the contest won’t officially open until April 1st (no fooling, I swears!) so there’s no rush. Honestly, comic books have been such a huge part of my life and I look forward to sharing my love for them in all their incarnations (book, TV, movies) with you all.
Any questions/comments – hit me up! Please feel free to share the contest far and wide. I’d love to get as many entries as possible!
That about does it for me… As ever, thanks for visiting and happy reading!
